Day/Night
Day/Night
Thisoptionallowsyou to change the displaybetween day and nightmodes.
Ifyou select NIGHT mode, a differentcolor palette,more suitedtonighttime
viewingis used.
Help
WhenHelp is settoON, a promptappears when selectinga softkeyormenu
choice,and when usingthe context-sensitive cursor. Thehelpmessage is
clearedwhenanactionis selected.
Soft Keys
WhentheSoftKeysoptionissettoON,thedefaultsoftkeysaredisplayedifno
otheroperationis in progress.
Whenthe SoftKeys optionis setto OFF, thedefaultsoft keysareonly
displayedwhenasoft key is pressed,andthey disappearif no operationis
performedfor10seconds.
Key Beep
Thisoptioncontrolswhetherornotthekeysmake anoise whenyou pressthem.
MOB Data
Thisoptioncontrolswhether MOB data is basedonposition data,orondead
reckoning(DR).Deadreckoningnormally providesabetterindicationof the
courseto an objectin the water,on theassumptionthat your vesseland the
objectare both subjectto the same tide and wind effects.
Autopilot Pop Up
Thisoptioncontrolswhetherornottheautopilotpopupisdisplayed.Whenset
toON,if the statusandlocked headingof theautopilotchanges,they are
displayedin a popupbox.Thebox isremovedfromthe display aftertwo
seconds.
WhenAutopilotPop Up is set to OFF, thepopupbox is disabled.
Menu Timeout Period
Withno timeoutset,menusand soft key labelsremaindisplayeduntilyou
clearthem by pressingENTER,CLEAR or the appropriatededicatedkey.
Ifyousetavaluehere,themenusandsoftkeylabelswillbeclearedifakeyhas
notbeenpressedforthe specifiednumberofseconds.
Thissettingdoesnotaffectthe defaultsoftkeylabels,whicharecontrolledby
theSoft Keys option(see above).
