Plotter Mode

The factory default for CUSTOM options is ON.
Plotter Mode
PlotterModeenablesyoutozoomintoasmallerarea,evenwhennochartdata
isavailablefor that scale.This allowsyouusethechartplotter functionsat
large scaleseven whena chartcardis notinstalled.
Chart Orientation
Thechartorientationis normallyNorthUp,butcanbechangedto CourseUp
orHeadUpif heading datais available.The orientation modesgive the
followingdisplays:
• NorthUp: Thechartis displayedwith north upwards.As you change
heading,theship’sheadingmarkermoves.Thisis thedefaultmode,andis
theonlymode availableif thereisno headingdata.
• CourseUp: The chartis stabilizedand displayedwith thecurrently
selectedcourseupwards.Ifyouselectanew course,the picturerotatesto
displaythe newcourseupwards.
Thereferenceusedfor the Course Up dependson theinformationavail-
able.Thefirstavailablein the followingis used:
i. A lockedheading overaSeaTalkconnection
ii. The headingatthetime Course Up was selected
To updatethe CourseUp referencewhile Course Up is the currentmode,
re-select Course Up from the setupmenu.
• HeadUp: Thechartisdisplayedwiththevessel’scurrentheading
upwards.As the headingchanges the chartwillrotate.
