Operating Modes
• View radarand chart simultaneouslyas radar/chartoverlayorin half-
screenwindows.
• Half-screen windows to displayadditionaldata: CourseDeviation Indica-
tor(CDI), BearingandDistanceIndicator(BDI),navigationdata.
• Cursorecho acrossSeaTalk,and betweenchart and radarwindows
• Choiceof orientation:Head Up, Course Up and North Up
• Thesystem can be connectedto an ST80 Navigatorkeypad for entryof
alpha-numeric data.
Set Up Options
Setupoptionsallow you to choosewhatisdisplayed,how it is displayed
(including languageandunits),bearingmodeand how thedisplayoperates
withother
hsb

units.You can viewthe cursor positionand a varietyofdata
fromother equipment,e.g.speed,heading,depth,wind and tide information
inaset of user-selectabledata boxes.Forsystemswith an autopilot, when the
statusandlockedheading informationchangethenewdatacanbe displayed.
Displayoptionsare providedinSystem SetUp,describedinChapter 7.
ScreenPresentationOptions,describedin Chapter 2allowyou to switchthe
cursorand databoxesOn/Off.The cursorbox and user-selected databoxes
canbemoved around the screen.

youcan overlaythe radar targets on to the fullscreenchart.You canalso set
WindowsOn to split thedisplayinto two half-screenwindowstoshow
supplementary data or, on a combined displayunit, display radar andchart
simultaneously.Themainoperatingmode(radaror chart)is displayedin the
upperwindow; you choosewhatisdisplayed in thelower window.
