Cursor Echo

ateSeaTalkmessageisreceivedbythedisplay unit.
6.5 Cursor Echo
Inacombinedradar/chartdisplay, or ina systemwitha radar display
connectedviaSeaTalk,you cansetthedisplaytoenablecursorecho.Cursor
echo(accessedfromSystemSetUp, describedin Section 7.3) enablesyou to
displayaradarcursoronthechartpicture,orachartcursorontheradarpicture
(youcannotdisplayaremotechartcursorinachartwindownoraremoteradar
cursorina radar window).
The following options can be toggled ON or OFF:
• RadarCursorIn:displaysthe cursorfromanotherradaronthechartdis-
playor chart window(default- OFF).
• ChartCursorIn:displaysthe cursor fromanotherchartplotteronthe
radardisplayor radar window(default- OFF).
Note:The remote displaymust have SeaTalkCursorOut enabled.
Raymarinerecommendthat in multi-displaysystems,you donotenableCur-
sorOuton more than two displays.If multipledisplayshavecursorout en-
abled,the cursorswill notbe displayedsimultaneously,butwillflashon/off.
• SeaTalkCursor Out: enablestheoutput, onto SeaTalk,of thedisplay’s
owncursor(default-OFF).
• CursorEchoLocal:echoesthecursorpositionbetweenopenwindowson
thesame display(default- ON).
If you set the options to OFF, no cursor echo information is displayed.
Whentheappropriateoptionisswitchedon,thedisplayshowsitsown cursor,
plusthecursoroftheotherdisplaywithappropriatecursortext(RDR orCHT)to
indicateits origin.This meansthatyoucould movethe cursoroveratarget on
theradardisplay,andcheck the identityof thetarget by lookingat theradar
cursorpositionon the chartplotter.
