Clearing the Current
Route
Youcan use a NavigatorKeypad (seeUsingtheST60 or ST80 Navigator
Keypadon page 5-15) toname theroute.
5. PressENTER to finishand cleartheNameList,or press CLEAR to cancel
theoperation.To returntothedefaultsoft key display,pressENTER again.
Clearing the Current Route
Youcanclearthecurrentroutefromthescreen.WhenyouselectCLEAR ROUTE
ifthe currentroute has not been saved,you have the optionof savingit and,if
youarefollowing thecurrentroute, you havethe option to stop.
➤ To clearthecurrent route:
1. Pressthe ROUTE defaultsoft keyor placethe cursorover a route leg until
the text RTE is displayed.
Pressthe CLEAR ROUTE soft key.
2. Ifyouarefollowingthe currentroutethe STOP FOLLOW softkeys aredis-
played.
To cancelthe CLEAR operationpressNO.
To stopfollowing and clearthe route pressYES.
3. Iftheroute has not beensaved the SAVE ROUTE soft keys are displayed.
To cleartheroute,withoutsavingitintheroute database,press NO.
To savethe route inthedatabase, press YES.The Name routesoft keysare
displayedandyoushouldcontinueasdescribed intheprevioussection,
Savingthe Current Route on page 5-22.
Thecurrentrouteis clearedfrom the screenandthedefaultsoft keys are
displayed. YoucannowusetheROUTE softkeys tomake a route,ortoshow
anotherroutefrom the database.
Retrieve a Route From the Database
Youcanselecta route asthe currentroutefrom the databaselist.Thelistis
accessedfromthe second setof ROUTE softkeys.
➤ To selecta routeasthe currentroute:
1. Pressthe ROUTE softkey, followedby MORE,thenpressROUTE LIST.The
route list is displayed as illustrated in Figure 5-7.The selectionbar indi-
catestheselectedroute.
2. Usethetrackpadtoselectthe requiredroutethenpressthe SHOW ROUTE
softkey.Thechartisre-drawnatascalesuitabletodisplaythewholeroute.
