Switching the Cursor Data Box On and Off
Thecursordataboxprovidesthecursor’spositioninlatitude/longitudeand/or
bearing/range.If you wishto see a fullimage,you can switch thedata box off.
➤ To controlthe cursordatabox:
1. Pressthe SCREEN soft key.
2. PresstheCRSR BOX softkeytotogglethesettingfromOFF to ON orfromON
to OFF.
3. To returnto the defaultsoftkeydisplay,pressENTER.
➤ Youcanusethecontextsensitivecursortoselectandmovethecursordatabox
(thelabelBOX is displayed).See Movinganddeletingitemswiththe context-
sensitive cursor on page 1-17
Switching Radar Range Rings or Chart Grid On and Off
Theradarrange ringscan be turned on or off.They arenormallyleft on, but
youmaywishtoturnthemoffifyouareusingVRM/EBLsorguardzones(see
Section 3.4and Section 3.5)to make the displayclearer.
TheChartplotter displayincludesgridlinesof latitudeandlongitude which
youcan use to help determinepositionon the chart.The grid linescan be
switchedon if required.
Ifyouare inChartmode theRNGE RNGS softkeyisreplacedbytheCHRT GRID
soft key.
➤ To turnthe range rings or chartgridonoroff:
1. Pressthe SCREEN defaultsoft key.
2. PresstheRANGE RINGS orthe CHRT GRID softkeytotogglethesettingfrom
OFF to ON or from ON to OFF.
To returntothedefaultsoftkey display, pressENTER.
