3.4 Measuring Range and Bearing Using VRM/EBLs
ThePathfinderPlusRadar displayallows you to specifyup to two Electronic
BearingLines(EBLs),each with an associatedVariable RangeMarker
(VRM), using the VRM/EBL key.
Astandard VRM is displayedas acirclewithitscentre on your vessel’s
position, andit’sEBLisdisplayedasalinefromthe origin to theedge of the
radarpicturedisplay.However, eachpaircanbefloated, so thattheorigincan

Note:Whenusing VRM/EBLs, you maywishto turnoff the range ringsto
make the VRMs clearer (see Section 2.4).
VRMs moveifyouchangethe range scale,so that the actualrange you have
markedis maintained.VRM/EBLsalsomoveif you offsetthecentre.
Whena VRM/EBLpair isactive, itsbearingand range are displayedin its
associated data box, whichcan be moved, deletedor reinstated.
