mustbeprovidedon NMEA. Werecommend thePathfinderSmart Heading
System(whichincludestheGyroPlus2unit)oraRaymarineautopilotsystem
incorporating a 150G or 400G Course Computer with internalrategyro.
Headingdatashouldideally containbothmagneticand true heading.If only
oneisavailablethen variationneeds to be providedeither manuallyor
automatically - see VariationSource on page 7-8.
Someotherradarsandchartplotters can exchangetheircursorsvia SeaTalk.
Lockedheadingshouldbe usedfor CourseUp ifavailableviaSeaTalk.
OtherdataconnectedviaaSeaTalkbusorviaNMEAisgenerallydisplayedin
databoxes, e.g.depth,apparentwindangleandspeed,time.
Note:TheRaymarineFishfinderuses itsowndepthdata,ratherthananyoth-
erdepthdataon SeaTalk.If thereisnootherdepthdataonSeaTalk,Fishfind-
erdepthis transmitted.If speedand temperaturedataareavailable on
SeaTalktheFishfinderusesthisdata;ifthisdataisnotonSeaTalkfromother
instruments, it is transmittedbytheFishfinder.
