7.2 Changing the Set Up Parameters
Thesetup parametersare dividedinto foursections:
• System,tocontrolthe aspectsof the systemthatarenotspecifictothe
radar or chart.
• Radar, includes bearingalignment,displaypreferences andthetimed
transmission option.
• MARPA,tocontroltheMARPAtargettrackingparameters,includingtar-
getvectors,safezone and targethistorydisplay.
• Advanced,tocontrolspecialistradar settingssuchasdisplaytiming,STC
presetandtunepreset(see Section 7.6for instructionson how to access
thesefunctions).
• Chart,tocontrolthechartplotterdisplay,includingwaypointinformation,
vectorsandradar/chart synchronization.
Note:The GPS andTrackSet Up menusare describedinChapter 6.
Thissectionprovidesinstructions for displayingand changingthe default
values.The followingsectionslisttheparameters andtheirpossiblesettings,
anddescribethefunctionof eachparameter inturn.
➤ Toset the defaultparameters:
1. Press the MENU key to displaytheset up softkeys-theoptions available
dependon the selectedoperatingmode.

2. Pressthe softkeyforthe set up you require.
Therequestedsetupmenuisdisplayed, listingtheparameters and their
current settings.
3. Usethetrackpadto movetheselection bar up and down the list.Anarrow
isdisplayed atthetop or bottomright-handcornerif you can scrollthelist
todisplayfurtherparameters.
Aseachlineis highlighted,the softkeys are updatedtoshowthesettings
available.
