Setting Alarms and Timers
➤ Tosetupanalarmortimer:
1. Pressthe ALARMS key. The AlarmsSetUp menu is displayed,showing
thecurrentsettings(seeFigure 6-2).
2. Usethetrackpadtomovetheselectionbarupordowntheoptions.Aseach
lineis highlighted,the softkey labels areupdatedto show the currentset-
tingsand controls.

3. Usetheupordown softkeys to changethealarmsetting.Forexample,for
thearrivalalarmyou can adjust theradiusfrom thewaypointat which the
arrivalalarmwill be triggered.
Thearrival,offtrackand anchor alarmdistancescan be set in the range
0.01to9.99nm,instepsof 0.01nm.
Thegroundingalarmdepthcanbesetfrom1to20min1mstepsandcanbe
specified tocover a sectorata rangefrom 0 to 1nm, in 0.1nm steps.
Thetimerissetinhours,minutesandseconds,andthealarmclockinhours
andminutes.
4. Ifrequired, pressthe ALARM OFF ON softkey totogglethe alarmon oroff.
Ifyouturnanalarmoff,itsvalueisretainedandwillbeusedwhenyouturn
the alarm on again.
Note:Youcanturnallthealarmsandtimersonand off,exceptfortheArrival
Alarmwhich is alwayson.
5. PressENTER to savethe changes and clearthelist.
