Using the ST60 or
ST80 Navigator
Keypad
CAUTION:
Takecarewheneditingwaypointsasitispossibletomovewaypointsthat
areusedinroutes storedin theRouteDatabase.Insuchinstances, the
storedroutewillincludethe waypointinitsnewposition.List.
➤ To move a waypointusingthe cursor:
1. Movethecursoroverthewaypoint,untilthelettersWPT aredisplayed.The
waypointsoftkeysaredisplayed.
2. PressMOVE WAYPOINT, the cursorchangesto a four-headed arrow.
3. Movethecursorto the requiredwaypointposition.
PressENTER to setthepositionand return to normalcursorcontrol.
PressCLEAR to cancel the operation.
➤ To move a waypointusingthe WaypointEditfunctions:
1. Selectthewaypointusingeitherthecursororthewaypointlistasdescribed
above.The waypointsoft keys are displayed.
2. To editthe waypointposition proceedas previouslydescribedin Editing
theWaypointDetails onpage 5-13.
Using the ST60 or ST80 Navigator Keypad
Ifyou have an ST60 or ST80 NavigatorKeypadconnectedon SeaTalk it can
beused tonameoredityour waypoints,tracks,or routeson anydisplayinthe
system.ThekeypadcanalsobeusedtoselectentriesintheWaypointList.The
Navigatorprovides10dedicatedalphanumerickeys,amultidirectionalcursor
controlpad,plus InsertandDeletekeys.
Note:WhenusingtheNavigatorKeypad,youshouldbeawarethatitcancon-
trolseveraldisplays simultaneously; any displayineditmode (i.e.readyfor
alpha-numeric data entry) willbeaffectedby the NavigatorKeypad.
