Erasing a Waypoint
5. To editthe waypointposition, press the EDIT WAYPOINT soft key, followed
byPOSITION.The WaypointPositionpop-up isdisplayed.
UsethesoftkeystoselectLAT, LON, BRG or RNG.
Use the trackpad to edit the value:
Usetheleftor rightsideof thetrackpadtomovethecursortothecharacter
youwishtochange.
Usethetopor bottom of thetrackpadto scrollthrough thecharacters.
Adjusteach parameteruntil thewaypointpositionis correct.
Whenyouhavefinishededitingtheposition,pressENTER tosavetheposition
orCLEAR tocancel the operation.PressENTER or CLEAR again,the
WaypointPositionwindow is removed from the screenand the defaultsoft
keysare displayed.
Erasing a Waypoint
Youcannoterase the target waypoint or waypoints thatareusedin routes.
However,youcanremovea waypoint fromthe currentroute- see Editing a
Routeon page 5-27.
Ifyou try to eraseawaypointthatisusedin a saved route youarewarned
“WAYPOINT IS USED IN A ROUTE & CANNOT BE DELETED”
➤ To deletea waypointusing the cursor:
1. Movethecursoroverthewaypoint,untilthelettersWPT aredisplayed.The
waypointsoftkeysaredisplayed.
2. Pressthe ERASE WAYPOINT softkey.The waypoint is removed fromthe
screenand theWaypointList is updated.
Note:If you have stoppeda GOTO (seeStopFollowor Stop Goto on
page 5-33),thetargetwaypointremainsdisplayedasatarget;youneedtouse
the CLEAR GOTO soft key beforeyou can erase the waypointusing the cursor.
➤ To deletea waypointusing the waypointlist:
1. Selectthewaypointfrom the waypointlistas previouslydescribed.The
waypointlistsoftkeys are displayed.
2. PresstheEDIT WAYPOINT softkey,followedbyERASE WAYPOINT.Theway-
pointis removed fromthe screenand the waypointlistis updated.
Moving a Waypoint
Youcanmoveanywaypointexceptthetargetwaypoint(thewaypointyouare
following). Youcanusethe Waypointsoftkeys and cursortomovethe
selected waypoint,or you can editthewaypoint position.
